WZB Sym­po­sium: “Social and Edu­ca­tio­nal Man­date or Eco­no­mic Ratio­na­lity? Socio-Eco­no­mic Aspects of Early Child­hood Education”

GeDAB atten­ded the WZB sym­po­sium! The sym­po­sium focu­sed on the ques­tion: “How can social jus­tice and eco­no­mic impe­ra­ti­ves be recon­ci­led with regard to early child­hood edu­ca­tion?” The focus was on the eco­no­mic effects of invest­ments in edu­ca­tion, as well as issues of gover­nance and finan­cing within the fede­ral sys­tem, inter­na­tio­nal com­pa­ra­tive stu­dies, and ine­qua­li­ties in access to early child­hood edu­ca­tion. GeDAB was repre­sen­ted by a pre­sen­ta­tion fol­lo­wed by a panel dis­cus­sion led by Dr. Sey­ran Bos­tanci and Dr. Franz Neu­ber­ger (rese­arch fel­low at the DJI) on the topic “Equal Access to the Right to Early Child­hood Education?”
