We are very pleased to have been part of the Schwarzkopf Foundation for Young Europe since June 1, 2026.
This change marks the beginning of a new chapter for us. The Schwarzkopf Foundation for Young Europe has been committed to democracy education for many years. GeDAB is part of networks such as the Young Islam Conference and the European Youth Parliament, and adds the perspective of early childhood education.
This is because the foundations for democratic participation are laid during the earliest years of education. Together, we would like to make this connection even more apparent in the future.
We would like to extend our special thanks to the DeZIM Institute, which has been home to GeDAB in recent years. The institute has facilitated and supported the establishment and development of the network. Many of the key initiatives, partnerships, and structures that define GeDAB today originated during this period. We would like to express our sincere gratitude for your trust, support, and collaboration.
Over the past year and a half, GeDAB has grown into a nationwide networking and knowledge-transfer structure for early childhood education that is sensitive to issues of discrimination. By moving to the Schwarzkopf Foundation, we can further develop this work and create new opportunities for exchange, collaboration, and collective impact.
Our goal remains unchanged: to work together with stakeholders from the fields of practice, academia, public administration, politics, and civil society to strengthen democracy education and create more equitable educational conditions for all children nationwide.
We would like to thank all the people and organizations that have supported GeDAB along the way, and we look forward to our future together.
